How are Teams Selected

  • Teams are selected randomly.
  • Forward, defence and goalies are ranked based on level of skill and yearly statistics.
  • Ranked players are divided into groups based on the number of teams (eg. Groups of 8)
  • Team Reps are assigned a team number then begin to randomly select players from the various ranked groups. Team Reps do not pick for their own team but may, by chance, end up on the team they pick for.
  • After randomly selecting players, Reps review the teams, consider player requests (as per below) and may make adjustments where necessary with the intention of having teams that are balanced based on skill level and positions.

Considerations

  • Players who live in the same household and/or commute together from a long distance, may request to play on the same team.

  • Players who sponsor a team may play on their sponsored team if requested.
